J. Alexander’s Debuts First New Jersey Location on March 3 

Upscale restaurant to celebrate Clifton opening with ribbon cutting and donation to local nonprofit

CLIFTON, N.J., (Feb.25, 2025) – J. Alexander’s, the premier dining restaurant known for its exceptional steaks, decadent dishes and signature cocktails, is celebrating its first-ever New Jersey location opening on March 3.

To celebrate the opening, the concept will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the North Jersey Chamber of Commerce beginning at 3 p.m. Following the ribbon cutting, J. Alexander’s will honor its tradition of christening the building with a champagne bottle-smashing ceremony. To celebrate its first location in the state and support its new community, the restaurant will make a meaningful contribution to the Boys and Girls Club of Clifton, a nonprofit dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential.

J. Alexander’s Clifton location will operate seven days a week, featuring hand-crafted cocktails, an extensive wine list, and its signature American cuisine featuring prime rib, hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, sandwiches and additional specials like the Thai Kai Chicken Salad, Steak Maui, Avocado Bomb and more. The brand is known for its unwavering attention to detail, so that each dish and drink is crafted to deliver an experience that is both sophisticated and approachable.

J. Alexander’s is Bringing its Signature Dining Experience to New Jersey

Upscale restaurant hiring more than 90 positions ahead of highly anticipated Clifton opening

CLIFTON, N.J., (Jan. 6, 2024) – J. Alexander’s, the premier dining restaurant known for its exceptional steaks, fresh seafood and signature dishes, is set to debut its first New Jersey restaurant this spring at 852 NJ-3 in Clifton. 

To prepare for this grand opening, J. Alexander’s is building a dedicated team to provide the outstanding service and culinary excellence the brand is known for. The restaurant plans to hire approximately 90 – 100 team members for both front-of-house and back-of-house roles to help ensure J. Alexander’s provides an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
